I would highly recommend Sustain Physical Therapy, and specifically Zach Schwarz, for the care I received there earlier this year! I came to Sustain looking for help with hip pain from running. The pain began 6 months or so before during my long runs and eventually progressed to where I was having trouble walking 2 miles at a time. In my first consult, after a physical evaluation, Zach clearly explained what was going on and could pinpoint the trouble spots in my hips better than I could. In the following 12 sessions, he preformed soft tissue work, showed me stretches/tissue work I could do myself to relieve my pain, walked me through strength exercises (weightlifting, plyometrics, isometric exercises, etc), and sent me detailed follow up workout plans through an interactive fitness app. Zach continuously adjusted the exercises to fit my unique needs, and I was consistently impressed with his ability to make tailored adjustments/corrections to my form. By the later sessions I could run for miles at a time with no pain at all! Not only did Zach help me with a pain free return to running, he helped me feel confident lifting in the gym - I have started doing lifts that I have never felt comfortable with form wise before. He was able to identify which muscles weren’t firing correctly or were weak, and built a smart, evolving program that adjusted week to week based on my progress.
